Find Your Joy

Do you know what the gemstone is for the month of April? It’s a diamond! Who doesn’t love diamonds? And you know what makes them even better? Their meaning.

According to “The Diamond, in its rarity and beauty, is a symbol of purity and innocence, of love and fidelity, and embraces the strength of character, ethics, and faithfulness to oneself and others. It is indicative of the loving and open nature with which one came into the physical realm and encourages the aspect of truth and trust.”

Wow! A lot of that we probably already knew. After all, an engagement ring is typically a diamond. But “faithfulness to oneself” is not something you usually hear. Imagine how our lives might change if when we looked at a diamond it reminded us to be faithful to ourselves. But what does that really mean? What is being faithful to ourselves?

It’s being aware of things that make us happy and ensuring that we get enough of them.

These things don’t have to be big. Just yesterday I drove by a Dairy Queen and decided to stop in for a small chocolate cone. I hadn’t had one in years and so I thought, “why not.” And you know what? It was incredible! To make sure that I wouldn’t be distracted, I stayed in my car, pulled away to an isolated area in the parking lot, put my phone down and concentrated on nothing but that cone. When I was finished, it felt like a wonderful treat and a little mini-escape all for $2.49.

More importantly in that moment, it made me feel special at a time in my life when that’s exactly what I needed.

At Moonstone Mantrawear we are all about reminding you, through our designs, that you are worthy; you are valuable, and you are special. Although we don’t use diamonds, we do have a wonderful bracelet to give you a little nudge to be aware of things that make you happy and to ensure that you get enough of them.

“Find your Joy.” It’s our piece for April and it’s really all we want for you.
